What we do at KGD6 for Aker Solutions, UK
At Reliance Industries Limited's KGD6 Oil and Gas field, Aker Solutions has delivered a complete subsea production system, including umbilicals and other solutions and systems, to the deepwater gas field.

Parallel Minds was awarded an Onshore and Offshore System Software Technical Consulting contract in the month of May 2009 ! Initially the assignment was just for 2 weeks but later it extended and we were responsible for fault detection and analysis in the implementation of AKER's iCON SCU system. iCON majorly consists OPC Server (OLE for Process Control) which interfaces with sub-sea hardware installed deep inside on the the well heads and maintains the subsea data. iCON system interfaces with Invensys Foxboro DCS (Distributed Control System Software) typically through the FBM's (Field Bus Modules) iCON SCU also interfaces with ICONICS Alarm Management System for managing all types of alarms in the field.

Since we started working - over the period of 16 months we were exposed to many On-Shore and Off-Shore softwares and 3rd party softwares and devices and systems used at KGD6.After successful fault fixing and working with Aker's software team at Aberdeen, Scotland for more than one and half year - finally the software was reinstalled successfully this year. Since then the system is running stable.

Later - we were awarded OffShore Software Services contract. As a part of the contract - Aker sponsored our Engineers to undergo a HUET.

What we do for AGR, Norway
While working at KGD6, we were also working with AGR Engineers. Our Engineers reported to AGR Managers who represented Reliance to us. Over the period - raport developed and resulted in to winning confidence of senior management. Mr.Arvind Chetty - VP AGR Field Operations introduced us to Norway - marketing team and we were later responsible for providing 3D Engineering Services to them.

After Storyboard approval, we were responsible for developing under water - 3D animation for demonstrating TRIDENT operations. Animation output was made available as a flash movie and in other movie formats in HD - high definition.

Currently, animation is delivered to AGR for review. Once finalised, the video may become available for public viewing on AGR Field Operations website.
