DOiPP events & memories

DOiPP was proposed to be the first website in India to be available as an IPTV service through DiviNet BSNL set top box.

What we did

We were responsible for defining an architecture for enabling our web content as an IP TV content. Since, the embedded browser in set top box had very little capabilities, major effort was also put in to designing the IPTV version of our web pages. Finally we tested our web content by actually deploying it in BSNL NOC (Network Operating Center) and we could see offers and product information on TV! We received a recognition letter from Divinet Access Technologies.

We were fortunate

For this POC, we were fortunate to have been mentored by Mr.PR Eknath and Dr. Vijay Bhatkar.
They are the Chief Architects for Indian Super Computer Series PARAM. Their associated company -DiviNet Access Technology technically headed by Mr. PR Eknath (CTO-Divinet) is now developing and promoting BSNL MultiPlay IPTV platform.www.divinetaccess.com

Current Status

Unfortunately we didn’t make top in National Business idea competition to be eligible for funding and so had to hold on to this project and move ahead with Services Business.
